Evotec, a leader in advanced electric handling systems, is seeking a Purchaser or Senior Purchaser to lead procurement for maritime and technology projects. You will secure the right products from the right suppliers at the right time and cost, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and international suppliers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute purchasing activities for projects and framework agreements.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, and manage purchase orders.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with project requirements, quality standards, delivery schedules, and company objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and international suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier optimization.
• Coordinate material flow between suppliers and fabrication sites both domestically and internationally.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks, and resolve commercial or delivery-related challenges.
• Support project teams with procurement expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the continuous development and standardization of procurement processes and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to purchasing colleagues when needed.

As a part of our continued growth, we are looking for a commercially minded Purchaser or Senior Purchaser to join our Purchasing & Logistics Department.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.

For a Senior role it is expected a minimum 5 years of experience within procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or contract management, preferably in the maritime, offshore, or industrial sectors.

Proven experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.

Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.

Good technical understanding and ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation.

Experience with ERP systems and digital procurement tools.

Knowledge of customs procedures, export documentation, and international trade is considered an advantage.

Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.

Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work.

Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform in a dynamic project environment.

High level of initiative and a strong focus on delivering results.
