Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain preferred.
  • Experience with suppliers, inventory management, or purchasing processes advantageous.
  • Proven negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Purchaser
About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our Procurement team in Oslo.

Reporting to the VP - Purchase (Nordics & Europe), you will play a key role in supporting project and operational requirements through the sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment, and services. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating competitive agreements, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
  • Source materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company requirements and project demands.

  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers, products, and services to secure the best value, quality, and delivery performance.

  • Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders as required.

  • Liaise with warehouse, logistics, and delivery teams to ensure timely receipt of goods.

  • Track purchase orders and proactively resolve supply chain issues.

  • Support efficient stock management and minimize procurement-related delays.

Vendor Management
  • Meet with suppliers and service providers to review performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and supplier meetings to remain informed about market trends and new products.

  • Support supplier evaluations and maintain approved vendor databases.

Quality & Compliance
  • Verify purchased goods upon delivery and report any discrepancies or quality concerns.

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and local regulations.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation.

Reporting & Administration
  • Prepare purchasing reports, spend analyses, and cost-saving recommendations.

  • Monitor purchasing expenses and maintain accurate procurement records.

  • Support audits and reporting requirements.

  • Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

General Support
  • Assist with procurement initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

  • Support other departments and business functions as required.

  • Contribute positively to team objectives and project success.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications

Essential

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.

Experience
  • Previous purchasing, procurement, retail, supply chain, or administrative experience.

  • Experience working with suppliers, inventory management, or purchasing processes is advantageous.

  • Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environments is desirable.

Technical Skills
  • Understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Familiarity with purchasing or ERP systems is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
