Job summary

IKM is seeking a skilled engineer for the Stord-based role with offshore work. You will develop and maintain detailed work orders, estimates, drawings and material lists, and collaborate with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure prerequisites are met.

Qualifications

• Technical education with relevant trade certificate or equivalent.
• 5+ years in oil & gas, preferably within construction/ commissioning.
• Familiar with mechanical completion (MC) and commissioning processes, with digital tools (PIMS).
• Ability to read P&IDs and ISO drawings.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure all prerequisites are met.
• Review safety aspects of planned work, identify risks, and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.
• Identify opportunities to optimize work preparation processes and contribute to lessons learned.

Required expertise

• Technical education (vocational or engineering degree) with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry or a related field, preferably within construction or commissioning.
• Familiarity with mechanical completion (MC) and commissioning processes, along with digital tools (e.g., PIMS).
• Strong understanding of technical drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and the ability to interpret technical documentation.

Language: Norwegian and English

Location: Stord, with offshore work required

Work schedule: Full-time, regular work week with some remote work options
