Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Process Engineer in Drammen, Norway, to identify and lead initiatives that improve manufacturing and logistics performance. You will drive Lean, Six Sigma, and daily management improvements across production lines and collaborate with R&D to validate process parameters.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or two-year technical education.
  • 3–5 years of relevant cable production experience.
  • Knowledge of rubber production and Medium Voltage up to 36 kV.
  • Strong implementation capability and result orientation.
  • IT skills and structured approach to work.
  • Good communication and ability to motivate others.
  • Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize line utilization and process parameters to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure production follows agreed process parameters from CA.
  • Collaborate with R&D to validate and update process parameters.
  • Analyze and implement improvements based on OEE data.
  • Collaborate with material engineers to test and validate materials.
  • Analyze and follow KPI trends for material cost efficiency.
  • Create and maintain procedures and work instructions.
  • Own the Continuous Improvement roadmap for Drammen Operations and logistics.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute Lean, Six Sigma and 6S initiatives.
  • Establish routines for Lean tools, standards, and daily management.
  • Share best practices with Process Engineers across Europe.
  • Develop processes for MV rubber production (Investment 2026/2027).
