Job summary

NTNU in Trondheim invites applications for a four-year Postdoctoral Fellow position in unconventional close-to-physics computation. The successful candidate will join the Symbiotic computing group, work on reservoir computing models using nanomagnet metamaterials, and contribute to HPC simulations and experiments.

The position includes proposal writing, dissemination, outreach, and supervision of students, with the goal of building a strong researcher profile for future academic roles.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with unconventional computing systems.
  • Experience with nanoscale metamaterial substrates.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong English oral and written presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level research in unconventional close-to-physics computation.
  • Publish academic papers in top-tier venues and disseminate research to broader audiences.
  • Apply for research funding and report progress to funders.
  • Participate in international conferences or research stays at foreign institutions.
  • Supervise students and contribute to teaching activities.
  • Mentor PhD students and collaborate on experiments at international facilities.
  • Engage in research planning, proposals and project dissemination.
