Job summary

1000scholars seeks a postdoctoral researcher in epigenetics and obesity research at the CORA center, affiliated with Yvonne Böttcher's group at UiO. The role involves high-throughput analyses of multiomics data and collaboration with clinicians at Norway and abroad.

The project focuses on epigenetic memory of obesity, weight regain mechanisms, and long-term weight maintenance using RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, CUT&Tag, and methylation analyses in adipose tissue.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with strong background in epigenetics and obesity research.
• Hands-on expertise in high-throughput sequencing data analyses.
• Experience with adipose tissue biology and translational biomedical research.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality scientific research.
• Publish results in high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Apply for research funding.
• Disseminate research at national and international meetings and conferences.
• Co-Mentoring of PhD and mentoring of master students.
• A part of your time shall be available for career-enhancing tasks (max 25%).
• Collaborate with clinicians, molecular biologists and bioinformaticians within Norway and abroad.
