Job summary

University of Oslo (UiO) invites applications for a 4-year postdoctoral researcher position in epigenetics and obesity at CORA. The role, affiliated with Yvonne Böttcher’s group, involves high-end multiomics analyses and translational obesity research in Norway with international collaboration.

The successful candidate will work on RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, CUT&Tag, ATAC-seq, and DNA methylation datasets to understand metabolic memory and weight regain, contributing to obesity biology and

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field.
• Experience with multiomics analyses in obesity or epigenetics.
• Hands-on data analyses with scRNA-seq, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, ATAC-seq.
• NGS data handling (FASTQ, BAM, VCF).
• Strong English communication; first-author publications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality scientific research in obesity epigenetics.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and apply for funding.
• Disseminate work at meetings and conferences.
• Co-mentoring PhD and mentoring Master students.
• Develop computational methods for integrated genomic data analyses.
