The University of Oslo invites applications for a 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow in epigenetics and obesity research, affiliated with the CORA centre (K.G. Jebsen Centre).

The successful candidate will work in Yvonne Böttcher’s EpiGen group at Campus Ahus, Akershus University Hospital, focusing on epigenetic memory and weight regain using multiomics. Collaborative translational work with clinical environments in Norway and beyond.

Qualifications

• A degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in molecular biology, biomedicine, genetics, or a closely related area.
• Experience in epigenetics and/or obesity research.
• Extensive experience in molecular biology laboratory work.
• Hands-on experience with one or more: single cell sequencing, omics techniques (ChIP-seq, CUT & Run/Tag, ATAC-seq, WGBS, RNA-seq, Nanopore, ribosome profiling).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Published first author papers in well recognized journals.
