Job summary

Sperton Norway is seeking a piping discipline engineer to manage and coordinate piping design activities for offshore projects in Stavanger area. You will design piping systems, create area layouts and perform 3D modelling using PDMS/E3D.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, site surveys, and ensuring compliance with NORSOK and ASME standards. 3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred; junior candidates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of piping design experience offshore/oil & gas.
• Experience with pipe routing through existing areas and tie-ins.
• Proven ability to work independently through study and execution phases.
• Knowledge of NORSOK and ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and model piping systems and equipment areas.
• Coordinate piping design with other disciplines and client.
• Estimate piping activities and support offshore surveys.
• Prepare piping design documentation and interfaces between disciplines.
• Work through study to execution phases ensuring quality.
