Job summary

NES Advantage AS is supporting Aker Solutions in Stavanger by sourcing a Piping Engineer for design and 3D modelling of piping systems. The role requires offshore project experience, site surveys, and clash-free pipe routing, with proficiency in PDMS/E3D and knowledge of ASME/NORSOK standards.

Must be able to work in Norway and communicate in Norwegian and English. The position is based in an office setting in Stavanger, with opportunities to collaborate with world-renowned energy sector

Qualifications

• Education in MSc, BSc, technical college, or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently through all project phases from study to execution.
• Offshore/modification project experience, preferably North Sea, is advantageous.
• Experience with site surveys and pipe routing to achieve clash-free design.
• Proficient in PDMS/E3D; knowledge of timing and piping design standards.
• Knowledge of governing regs (ASME, NORSOK) and willingness to work in Norway.
• Proficient in Norwegian and English communication.

What will you be doing?

• Design and 3D modelling of piping systems.
• Area layout and 3D modelling of equipment
• Participate in offshore surveys as required by the various projects
• Communication with client
• Ensure that interfaces towards other disciplines are handled in an efficient way

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Do you have MSc, BSc, Technical College, or other relevant education and experience
• Ability to work independently in all phases of the project; through study to execution phases
• Experience from modification projects in the offshore industry, preferably from the North Sea
• Experience from performing site-surveys, pipe-routing through existing areas and locating tie-in positions to achieve a clash-free design is mandatory
• Good knowledge of PDMS / E3D, general computer technology and experience from piping design is mandatory
• Knowledge of governing regulations and standards; ASME, NORSOK etc. Software Skills: E3D, TIME
• Available for work in Norway
• Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English
