Job summary

Sperton Norway is seeking an Automation / Software Engineer to join our Stavanger team. The role focuses on designing, engineering, and implementing automation solutions for onshore and offshore facilities.

You will be involved in system design, programming, and commissioning, contributing to complex industrial and energy projects while working with advanced automation technologies and standards. Strong Norwegian and English communication are required, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with PCS7 and SAS systems.
• Knowledge of WinCC, S5, or S7.
• Understanding of Ex and SIL requirements.
• Experience with engineering tools such as Sigraph, Microstation, Eplan, or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Norsok and IEC standards.
• Offshore safety certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Willingness to travel as required.
