NTNU's Department of Marine Technology invites applications for a PhD Research Fellow in Self-Organising Maritime Autonomy in Trondheim. Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marine Cybernetics, Control Engineering/Robotics, Marine operations, Underwater technology, or related fields.
  • Master's degree must include a major independent project (minimum 30 ECTS) equivalent to a master’s thesis.
  • English proficiency equivalent to TOEFL score of 600 or more if not mother tongue.
  • Eligible for security clearance at CONFIDENTIAL level under Norwegian regulations.
  • Good oral and written Norwegian or other Scandinavian language level.

Responsibilities

  • Complete doctoral education and obtain a doctorate.
  • Carry out research of high quality within the project framework.
  • Publish academic papers and disseminate popular science.
  • Participate in the AUR-Lab research group.
  • Participate in field work and international conferences or research stays at foreign educational institutions.
