Florida Medical Clinic seeks a Front Office Assistant to support ambulatory/physician office operations, including patient registration, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, and patient referrals under supervision.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm in Family Practice, Location: 7760 Curley Road Wesley Chapel FL. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering professional patient care.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in clerical office or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments according to protocols and patient preference, including pre-certification when required.
• Obtains accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
• Processes requests for medical records per policies.
• Complies with Orlando Health policies and value statements.
• Operates office equipment, handles calls professionally.
• Aims to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care.
• Interacts with patients and families in a professional manner.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance as per policies.
• Follows all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Participates in QA/QI activities as assigned.
• Aware of legal issues, patient rights and regulatory standards.
• Manages supplies efficiently.
• Assists Billing Service as requested.
