Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient care under physician or APP supervision in an ambulatory setting. You will gather data, assist during exams, and document treatments and education per Orlando Health policies.

The role requires a high school diploma and MA training, plus an active BLS certification and MA credentials within 6 months of hire. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, Family Practice, Lutz, FL.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or verifiable patient care experience.
• Maintains current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and one of the MA certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to policies.
• Enter orders into the electronic medical system under provider direction.
