Job summary

Nord Pool, part of the Euronext Group, is seeking an Operator for Continuous Markets to manage the 24/7 Continuous power market across Europe. You will support trading platforms, monitor IT infrastructure, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong English skills, a Scandinavian language, and a background in IT/engineering or energy economics, with experience in agile processes and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Higher education in IT, engineering, energy or economics.
• Experience using Grafana for monitoring and support.
• Experience working in operations dependent on complex IT infrastructure.
• Understanding of software development cycle and Agile methodology.
• Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and weekend operational routines for the Continuous power market in Europe.
• Secure continuous improvement of business processes to meet customer expectations and to secure robust operations in complex tech environment.
• Technical support of trading and market coupling systems including testing of relevant operational and customer facing platforms.
• Contribute to the development of Nord Pool’s trading platforms and product offering.
• Deliver excellent customer service during day-to-day operations.
• Participate in Nord Pool’s development projects across the European power markets.

Profile

• Higher education in IT, engineering, energy or economics.
• Experience using IT tools such as Grafana for monitoring and support.
• Experience working in operations dependent on complex IT infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of Azure Cloud Technology, Apache Kafka and MQ is an advantage.
• Understanding of software development cycle and Agile methodology.
• Interest in technology and how it can improve business processes and customer service.
• Knowledge of the power market is an advantage but not a requirement if you have an interest to learn.
• Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language.
