Job summary

Nord Pool is seeking an Operator Continuous Markets to manage the Continuous power market operations in Europe. You will bridge customers and technology, supporting trading platforms and services while driving process improvements and robust operations.

The role requires expertise in IT infrastructure, monitoring, and Agile practices, with fluency in English and Scandinavian languages. Nord Pool is part of the Euronext Group and leads Europe’s power market with secure trading solutions.

Qualifications

• Higher education in IT/engineering/energy/economics or related fields.
• Experience using monitoring and support tools such as Grafana.
• Experience operating complex IT infrastructure in an operations setting.
• Basic understanding of Azure Cloud, Apache Kafka and MQ is an advantage.
• Knowledge of software development cycle and Agile methods.
• Interest in technology to improve business processes and customer service.
• English fluency and at least one Scandinavian language.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and weekend operational routines for the Continuous power market in Europe.
• Drive continuous improvement of business processes to meet customer expectations.
• Provide technical support for trading and market coupling systems including testing.
• Contribute to development of Nord Pool’s trading platforms and products.
• Deliver excellent customer service during day-to-day operations.
• Participate in development projects across European power markets.
• Engage in 24/7 rotational duty arrangements including weekends and nights.

Are you ready to shape the future of energy trading in Europe? Nord Pool is strengthening the 24/7 Continuous Markets Operations Team, and we are looking for our next Operator Continuous Markets, managing the Continuous market for power trading.

As an Operator Continuous Markets, you will be the bridge between the customer and the technology. You are responsible for contributing to the day-to-day operations of the power market including market coupling and technological development of the market platform and its products and services.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage daily and weekend operational routines for the Continuous power market in Europe.
• Secure continuous improvement of business processes to meet customer expectations and to secure robust operations in complex tech environment.
• Technical support of trading and market coupling systems including testing of relevant operational and customer facing platforms.
• Contribute to the development of Nord Pool’s trading platforms and product offering
• Deliver excellent customer service during day-to-day operations.
• Participate in Nord Pool’s development projects across the European power markets.
• Be part of our 24/7 rotational duty arrangements related to operations of the European power market including weekend and night shifts on duty obligations.

Your Profile

• Higher education in IT, engineering, energy or economics.
• Experience using IT tools such as Grafana for monitoring and support.
• Experience working in operations dependent on complex IT infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of Azure Cloud Technology, Apache Kafka and MQ is an advantage.
• Understanding of software development cycle and Agile methodology.
• Interest in technology and how it can improve business processes and customer service.
• Knowledge of the power market is an advantage but not a requirement if you have an interest to learn.
• Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language.
