Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Agent SSD to coordinate the day-to-day import/export activities across all transport modes for the Ship Spares Division.

You will gather documentation, certificates, and regulations to prepare accurate quotations and enable smooth operations. Responsibilities include setting shipping schedules, communicating with customers and ports, tracking delays, and ensuring proper billing while complying with international laws, including dangerous

Qualifications

• High motivation and interest for international transport and logistics.
• Fluent Norwegian and English in written and oral communication.
• Associates Degree or equivalent.
• Willingness to work outside set shift hours and on-call duty.
• Experience or knowledge in dangerous goods handling (IATA DGR) and/or aviation security is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day import/export of shipments across all transport modes to meet customer requests.
• Prepare profitable quotations.
• Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, subcontractors, and ports for timely loading and arrivals.
• Track delays, damages, and issues and work to resolve customer problems.
• Ensure shipments are billed and compliant with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with sales and account teams and international partners as needed.

Overview

The Operations Agent SSD is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day import/export of internationalshipments, all transport modes, in accordance with customer requests within the Ship Spares Division.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operation to ensure the customer’s request is satisfied;
• Prepare profitable quotations accurately;
• Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, subcontractors, and ports to verify loading, departures, and arrivals in a timely manner;
• Coordinate the day-to-day import and/or export of products, including reviewing orders and documents;
• Track and communicate all delays, damages, problems and work to resolve customer issues;
• Responsible for all aspects of (international) operations such as customer service, data entry of shipments, operations and billing;
• Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with various cartage agents and international partners;
• Partner with local sales and account management teams to communicate problems to customers, international partners, and other stations, as needed;
• Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met;
• Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines;
• Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies;
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations;
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Qualifications

• High motivation and interest for international transport and logistics
• Associates Degree or equivalent
• Curious, reliable, problem solver, strong desire for development and competence building
• Experience or knowledge in dangerous goods handling (IATA DGR) and/or aviation security is an advantage.
• Fluent oral and written Norwegian and English is a must
• Required to work hours other than the set shift hours to facilitate the completion of required work or resolve critical issues. Must be available for occasional on-call duty.
• Ability to work flexible hours either in the office or remotely as required
