Job summary

Welltec Technology Center Stavanger is seeking a Design & Application Engineer – Electrical Systems to join the Stavanger-based Wellgrab fishing solutions team. You will design and build technology from ideas to commercial products ready for offshore service, using calculations and 3D modeling daily, and support firmware and software development. The role requires a M.Sc.

or B.Sc. in electrical engineering or mechatronics, 6-7+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Autodesk

Qualifications

• M. Sc. or B. Sc. within electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
• 6-7+ years relevant experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor / Solid Works and / or Catia.
• Multidiscipline understanding: mechanical, hydraulic and electro.
• Experience in product development for Oil and Gas industry with expertise in downhole tools.
• Field operations experience both offshore and onshore is an advantage.
• Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
• Structured, systematic and target driven with well-defined goals.
• Team oriented.
• Language: Proficient in verbal and written Norwegian and English.
