Job summary

Energy As in Stavanger invites an experienced telecom professional to join a full-time offshore IT/OT and telecom infrastructure project. You will perform surveys, design IT/OT networks, coordinate offshore connectivity (radiolink, Starlink, 4G/5G, subsea fiber) and manage vendor integration across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities include daily support of existing IT/OT/telecom systems, offshore network design, and ensuring real-time data flows for drilling and third‑party services.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with IT, OT and telecom infrastructure within the oil & gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of offshore communication networks including radiolink, satellite connectivity, 4G/5G and fiber.
• Hands-on experience with network design, VLANs, firewalls, switches and hardware installation.
• Experience or good understanding of critical offshore telecom systems such as TETRA and CCTV.
• Familiarity with real-time drilling data flows, such as WITSML.
• Experience coordinating vendors and working across multiple technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Daily follow-up and operational support of existing IT, OT and telecom infrastructure.
• Perform technical surveys and establish the basis for design and installation.
• Support and coordinate offshore connectivity solutions including radiolink/LoS, Starlink, 4G/5G and subsea fiber.
• Coordinate rig intake, onboarding and migration to standardized solutions.
• Design and coordinate IT/OT networks, including switches, cabling, fiber, VLANs and firewall infrastructure.
• Follow up telecom and OT systems such as TETRA and CCTV.
• Facilitate and troubleshoot data flows for real-time drilling and third-party services.
• Coordinate vendors, rig owners and technical disciplines throughout survey, design, installation and commissioning.
