Job summary

IKM Stavanger, Norway seeks an experienced IT/OT and telecom infrastructure professional to support offshore operations. You will design, install, and maintain telecom and data networks, integrating radiolink, Starlink, 4G/5G, and subsea fiber to ensure real-time drilling and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities include coordinating rig intake, migrations, and standardized solutions, and ensuring robust IT/OT networks with switches, cabling, and firewalls in a demanding offshore environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with IT, OT, and telecom infrastructure in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of offshore communication networks (radiolink, Starlink, 4G/5G, subsea fiber).
• Hands-on experience with IT/OT network design, VLANs, firewalls, and hardware installation.
• Familiarity with critical systems such as TETRA, CCTV, and real-time drilling data flows (e.g., WITSML).
• Excellent vendor coordination and multi-discipline collaboration skills.
• Language: English (Norwegian is an advantage)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily follow-up and operational support for existing IT, OT, and telecom infrastructure.
• Conduct technical surveys and establish the foundation for design and installation.
• Manage offshore connectivity carriers including radiolink/LoS, Starlink, T-FAST, 4G/5G, and subsea fiber.
• Coordinate rig intake, onboarding, and migration activities to standardized solutions.
• Design and coordinate IT/OT networks, including switches, cabling, fiber, VLANs, and firewall infrastructure.
• Oversee OT and telecom services such as TETRA, CCTV, Personnel Tracking (PTS), and AV systems.
• Facilitate, support, and troubleshoot data flows for real-time drilling and third-party services.
• Coordinate vendors, rig owners, and professional disciplines throughout survey, design, installation, and commissioning.
