Job summary

SPERTON - Where Great People Meet is seeking an experienced Senior SAS Engineer to join a long-term EPCIC framework for a client. You will be responsible for the quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems, ensuring designs are robust, safe, and compliant with NCS standards.

In this role you will drive system design of process, utility and electrical systems, participate in fire and gas reviews, follow up vendor documentation, and support installation and FAT activities,

Qualifications

• SAS engineering experience with safety and automation systems.
• Ability to specify, dimension and integrate process control and monitoring systems.
• Experience with NORSOK I-002 and IEC/PAS 63131:2017 standards.
• Procurement coordination within a discipline or multi-discipline package.
• Support during installation and MC of SAS equipment and modifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate SAS systems and perform safety reviews.
• Participate in EPICIC modification and/or maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and review technical documentation including FAT.
• Prepare engineering documents and data registers (F&G, C&E, SCD, ESD/PSD).
• Lead onshore/offshore interface and report progress to the Discipline Lead.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced "Senior SAS Engineer" for one of our client's to join a long-term EPCIC framework agreement.

In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS). You will act as a technical pillar within the project, ensuring that all automation designs are robust, safe, and in full compliance with Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) standards.

What You'll Do?

• - Mainly SAS, need to have instrument knowledge.
• - Participate as SAS engineer in EPCIC modification and/or maintenance contract.
• - Responsible for SAS system design and integration
• - Participate in fire and gas safety reviews
• - System design of process, utility and electrical systems (interface, FS, SCD and HMI input)
• - Follow-up system design for equipment packages and electrical automation system
• - Designing solutions according to our client's requirements
• - Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation; participate in test activities/FAT.
• - Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project interface to other disciplines, suppliers and client
• - Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers
• - Preparation of engineering documents such as F&G, C&E, SCDs, ESD/PSD Block logic and work package
• General field instrument engineering, system design, automation and control engineering, fire & gas systems engineering, layout design, cable dimensioning and calculations, field instrumentation. Experience with studies, and preparation of study reports. Preparation of MTO`S and requisitions, preparation of installation job-cards, input to other disciplines, coordination and cooperation with suppliers and client.
• Establish, maintain and report progress for activity schedule in own discipline.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and actively seek opportunities to enhance effectiveness and cost efficiency
• - Engineering inputs to work packages.
• - As-built of drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore.
• - Report to Discipline Lead all matters of importance.
• - Responsible for Quality and HSSE in own projects.
• - Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests.
• - Onshore survey

Who You're?

• Minimum 2 year experienced engineer
• Ability to specify, dimension and integrate process control & monitoring systems, fire & gas detection and protection/shutdown systems, including field devices and safety shutdown systems (ESD and PSD).
• Ability in taking responsibility and ownership for the procurement process of a discipline or multi discipline procurement package.
• Ability to provide necessary support during installation and MC of SAS related equipment and modifications.
• Ability to develop new and maintain system design documentation like system philosophies and specifications including alarm specifications.
• Competence to translate process functionality to the system supplier. Follow up of supplier documentation and verification of resulting software and hardware deliverables.
• Ability to interact with and understand input documentation from source disciplines like process, electrical, safety, HVAC, etc. - NORSOK standards: I-002 and IEC/PAS 63131:2017
• Offshore training(GSK).
