Job summary

SPERTON - Where Great People Meet is seeking an Automation / Software Engineer to join our Stavanger team. You will design, engineer and implement automation solutions for onshore and offshore facilities, contributing to complex industrial and energy projects using advanced automation technologies.

The role requires a degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering, hands-on experience with PCS7/SAS and WinCC, and knowledge of Ex and SIL standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation, electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with PCS7 and SAS systems.
• Knowledge of WinCC, S5, or S7.
• Understanding of Ex and SIL requirements.
• Experience with engineering tools like Sigraph, Microstation, Eplan, or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Norsok and IEC standards.
• Offshore safety certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication in Norwegian and English.

About the Role

We are currently looking for an Automation / Software Engineer to join our client’s team in Stavanger. This role focuses on the design, engineering, and implementation of automation solutions for both onshore and offshore facilities.

You will be involved in system design, programming, and commissioning, contributing to complex industrial and energy projects while working with advanced automation technologies and standards.
