Job summary

Itproposal is seeking a Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure environments. This freelance, on-call role requires flexibility across regional time zones and reliable incident handling.

You will deploy, upgrade, and maintain Nutanix HCI stacks and network subsystems while keeping documentation up to date. Key tasks include troubleshooting outages, implementing DR and backup strategies, and collaborating with global teams on cloud projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or virtualization engineering.
• Strong experience with Nutanix stack.
• Knowledge of VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with DR and backup tools.
• Scripting (PowerShell/Python) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide on-call incident response support.
• Work with global teams on cloud and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain system documentation.
