Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime - Global Customer Support in Kongsberg is seeking a Network Engineer to implement network solutions and cyber security for IT/OT environments aboard vessels and at sites. You will work on projects involving remote and autonomous vessels with potential international travel.

Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Moxa is a plus. English fluency and a valid driver's license are required; IT education is beneficial and new graduates are welcome to apply.

What you will be doing:

• Implementation of new network solutions with associated Cyber security philosophy.


• Build and maintain technical expertise on security products and infrastructure including Cisco, Fortinet, and Moxa products.


• Contribute to our customers with general expertise and operational support in the field. May require travel to vessels and sites including international travel drivers license required.


• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform technical bug fixes


• Independent solution design, planning and implementation of security products in customers' IT and OT environment.

What we are looking for:

• IT education from university / college is an advantage, but not a requirement. We encourage new graduates to apply.


• We use Cisco, Fortinet, and Moxa so experience with these technologies is an advantage.


• Experience with installation and operation of IT systems cyber security experience is a plus.


• Interested in and experienced with computer networks, data communication and protocols.


• Fluent in English verbal and written.
