Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime - Global Customer Support in Kongsberg, Norway seeks a Senior Network Engineer to implement Cisco and Fortinet network and cyber security solutions across IT and OT environments. You will take a leading technical role with mentoring responsibilities and collaborate with teams across maritime networks.

The role requires broad Cisco/Fortinet experience, IT/OT cyber security installation and operation knowledge, and fluency in English.

Join our Connectivity team as a Senior Network Engineer and work with advanced networking and cyber security solutions for the maritime industry. You will take a leading technical role, working with Cisco and Fortinet technologies across IT and OT environments.

What you will be doing:

• Implementation of new network solutions with associated Cyber security philosophy.
• Build and maintain technical expertise on security products and infrastructure including Cisco and Fortinet products to act as mentor for Connectivity team members.
• Contribute to our customers with advanced expertise and operational support in the field. May require travel to vessels and sites including international travel drivers license is required.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform technical bug fixes.
• Independent solution design, planning and implementation of security products in customers' IT and OT environment, including automation.

What we are looking for:

• IT education from university / college is an advantage. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal qualifications.
• Broad Cisco and Fortinet experience is required.
• Experience with installation and operation of IT and/or OT systems cyber security experience is necessary.
• Experience with teaching and mentoring.
• Fluent in English verbal and written.
