Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Connectivity team. You will work on network solutions, cyber security and projects involving remote and autonomous vessels.

Responsibilities include implementing new network solutions, building security expertise with Cisco, Fortinet and Moxa, and providing field support. International travel may be required while ensuring compliant IT/OT environments.

Qualifications

• IT education from university/college is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• We encourage new graduates to apply.
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Moxa is an advantage.
• Experience with installation and operation of IT systems – cyber security experience is a plus.
• Interested in and experienced with computer networks, data communication and protocols.
• Fluent in English verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new network solutions with associated Cyber security philosophy.
• Build and maintain technical expertise on security products and infrastructure – including Cisco, Fortinet, and Moxa products.
• Contribute to our customers with general expertise and operational support in the field. May require travel to vessels and sites – including international travel – driver’s license required.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform technical bug fixes
• Independent solution design, planning and implementation of security products in customers' IT and OT environment.
