Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking qualified techs to service Class 8 trailers, diagnose issues, perform inspections, and handle repairs in both mobile and shop settings. You will work on brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, lift-gates, and suspensions while ensuring safety compliance and high-quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, reliable documentation, and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience repairing Class 8 trailers.
Experience in annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
Valid Driver's License with clean record.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Comfortable using Computers for billing and work orders.
Follows work orders to stay on track.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 8 trailers (brakes, electrical, hydraulic, lift-gate, suspension).
Perform trailer patchwork and minor structural repairs.
Carry out preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; replace tires, hubs, axles.
Write and manage work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard work.
Test systems for performance and DOT compliance.
Manage service truck inventory and source parts locally.
Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation on time.
Provide strong customer service and report findings to management.
