Job summary

Filipinas-Global Multi-Services is seeking an skilled automotive mechanic in Bergen to perform vehicle repair and preventative maintenance in line with OEM and internal standards.

You will handle engine, gearbox, drive train, electrical components and MOT preparation while documenting work and communicating findings in English. Prior experience with Scania, DAF, Iveco, Volvo and Mercedes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automotive/mechanics (3+ years higher education).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
• References from previous employer.
• Additional trainings welcome.
• High voltage / hybrid cars knowledge required.
• Fluent/communicative level of English.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per in-house and manufacturers' standards.
• Carry out engine, gearbox, drive train, clutch and associated electrical work.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and diagnostic tests.
• Prepare reports and complete documentation.
• Identify potential future faults and advise workshop controller.
• Work with various brands including Scania, DAF, Iveco, Volvo and Mercedes.

Job description

Mechanics are responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with in-house and manufacturers' standards. Every worker is working independent and do all work on the car (over/under chassis, diagnostic, mechanical work, and electric work).

Duties to include:

• Preventative maintenance checks
• Engine, Gearbox, Transmission, Drive Train & Clutch work
• Emissions Testing
• Electrical Components (ECUs)
• Associated paperwork and reporting
• A good knowledge and experience of timing belts, cam belts, full servicing and MOT Preparation/repairs & Inspection is required.
• Carry out fault diagnosis
• Indicate to Workshop Controller possible future faults and repair requirements.

Requirements:

• Education in the field of car mechanics, minimum 3 years of higher education (Bachelor degree)
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Documented references from the previous employer
• All documents confirming additional trainings form the previous workplace are welcome
• High voltage /hybrid cars knowledge
• communicative level of English
• With experience on Scania, DAF, Iveco, Volvo, Mercedes truck brands
