Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to join our service team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing and other food-service equipment at customer sites, with on-the-job and formal training available.

You will work with managers, read diagrams, communicate with manufacturers, and maintain parts and tool inventories. A valid license, on-call nights/weekends, and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to be on emergency on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
• Occasional overnight travel as assigned; immigration sponsorship not provided.
• CFESA and/or EPA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with restaurant managers to service cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing and related equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, read diagrams and schematics, diagnose issues.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment on site.
• Communicate with manufacturers for diagnoses and parts identification when needed.
• Consult with Technical Assistance Group for on-site support.
• Install ordered parts and complete work orders, time reporting and inventories.
• Promote additional Smart Care services when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean service vehicle and accurate parts/tools inventory.
