University of Utah Health is seeking a Medical Assistant trainee to support patient care while completing clinical training hours. You will assist licensed staff, handle basic clerical tasks, and learn to perform routine clinical procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• Concurrent enrollment in a Medical Assisting program associated with a USHE school.
• Completion of a signed MA Apprenticeship Repayment Agreement.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (to be obtained within 30 days of hire).

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures according to clinic procedures.
• Reports all observed patient concerns to a licensed staff member.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests and reports results to staff.
• Performs injections such as IM, Subcutaneous and intradermal as directed.
• Acts as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examination and assists with procedures.
• Monitors and cleans assigned patient examination rooms and restock supplies.
• Answers telephones and schedules appointments and diagnostic tests.
