Job summary

SLB OneSubsea invites applications for a Mechanical Engineer to lead repair, refurbishment, and testing of subsea pumps and compressors from our Horsøy facility in Norway.

You will guide technical assessments, root cause investigations, and cross-functional collaboration with customers, workshops, and engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable solutions. A strong background in rotating equipment and maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience with rotating equipment such as pumps or compressors.
  • Experience with repair, maintenance, lifecycle services, or oil and gas operations.
  • Creo or similar CAD software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and engineering support for repair and refurbishment of subsea pumps and compressors.
  • Act as the technical lead on assigned repair and refurbishment projects.
  • Develop repair scopes covering inspection, repair, assembly, testing, and qualification activities.
  • Support project managers and workshop personnel throughout repair execution.
  • Lead or support root cause analyses and technical investigations.
  • Review repair findings, deviations, and opportunities for equipment improvements and upgrades.
  • Participate in system integration testing, factory acceptance testing, and other verification activities.
  • Support quotation and tender activities through technical assessments and scope discussions.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders across global locations.
  • Champion a strong HSE and quality culture in everything you do.

Our LifeCycle Management team lead the repair, refurbishment, and testing of subsea pumps and compressors. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical interest in rotating equipment and problem-solving.

In this role, you will lead repair projects, conduct technical assessments and root cause investigations, and work closely with customers, workshop personnel, and engineering teams to deliver safe and reliable solutions.

In this role, you will

Provide technical and engineering support for the repair and refurbishment of subsea pumps and compressors

Act as the technical lead on assigned repair and refurbishment projects

Develop repair scopes covering inspection, repair, assembly, testing, and qualification activities

Support project managers and workshop personnel throughout repair execution

Lead or support root cause analyses and technical investigations to identify corrective and preventive actions

Review repair findings, deviations, and opportunities for equipment improvements and upgrades

Participate in system integration testing, factory acceptance testing, and other verification activities

Support quotation and tender activities through technical assessments and scope discussions

Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders across global locations

Champion a strong HSE and quality culture in everything you do

We are looking for someone who
