Job summary

Bureau Veritas Mission Critical in Norway invites applications for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to plan, coordinate and execute full lifecycle commissioning of critical facilities.

You will witness static and dynamic testing of HVAC, electrical and control systems and support operations across the project lifecycle, from design through handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (master's preferred).
• 4+ years of Electrical/Mechanical Commissioning or similar role.
• Experience in the engineering/construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute full lifecycle commissioning of facilities.
• Witness static and dynamic testing of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Interpret design and specifications and coordinate with contractors.
• Maintain logs and meeting minutes.

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Provides engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities. Participates in the MEP design process; witnesses the static and dynamic testing of complex mechanical, electrical and control systems and operates the system in normal, maintenance and failure modes of operations by performing the following duties.

• Highly experienced working with chilled water distribution and commercial HVAC systems.
• Prepare meeting minutes.
• Work with fundamental test equipment such as data logging equipment for temperature humidity etc.
• Interacts with contractors and interprets design and specifications.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Thorough knowledge of your principle with a strong understanding of electrical equipment and principles
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems from an operations perspective

Candidate must possess hands‑on experience and knowledge of the following mechanical systems

• HVAC Cooling systems (all types)
• Chiller systems, cooling towers, and associated sub‑systems (both water‑cooled and air‑cooled)
• Process water systems and treatment
• Control and instrumentation experience such as SCADA/ PLC/ BMS/ EPMS systems
• Ability to interpret raw signal data and process it such as temperature and humidity data etc

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. A master's degree in Electrical or a related discipline is preferred.
• Proven Experience of 4+ Years in Electrical/Mechanical Commissioning or similar role.
• Experience in the engineering industry/construction industry
