Job summary

Folk AS seeks a Mechanic to join our team in Bergen on a fixed-term assignment. The role involves assembling and testing VX meters, AW, and related mechanical components, while supporting test equipment development and maintaining strict adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Candidates should be certified mechanics or equivalent via experience, with crane certification (G4) mandatory. Experience with rotating machinery, swivel systems, pressure and leak testing, and high-torque tools is

Qualifications

• Certified mechanic or equivalent by experience and training.
• Crane certificate is required (G4).
• Forklift T1-T4 is an advantage.
• Flange course certification is an advantage.
• Pressure testing course certification is an advantage.
• Experience with rotating machinery (assembly and testing).
• Experience with swivel systems (assembly and testing).
• Experience with pressure and leak testing.
• Experience with high torque tools.
• Knowledge of static and rotating sealing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test Vx meters and AW.
• Develop and assemble test equipment.
• Report and follow procedures with sign-off.
• Participate in HARC and toolbox activities as required.
• Maintain strong focus on HSE during tests and assembly (high-pressure systems and rotating machinery).
• Ensure quality and ethics per company policy.

Job description

On behalf of our customer, we are seeking a Mechanic!

The position’s main scope is to execute assembly and testing of VX meters, AW, and mechanical components, as well as support the development of test equipment. In addition, the role covers reporting, procedure compliance with proper sign-off, and maintaining a strong focus on HSE, quality, and ethics throughout all assembly and testing activities, particularly related to high-pressure systems and rotating machinery.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Assembly and test of Vx Meters and AW.
• Assembly and technical developments of test equipment.
• Reporting and procedure follow up, make sure that each step in procedures are signed accordingly.
• Participate in HARC and toolbox activity as required.
• Maintain a clear focus on HSE throughout tests and assembly, in particular high-pressure systems, and rotating machinery.
• Establish and maintain a high focus on HSE and Quality in line with company policy in all areas of operation.
• Establish and maintain a high focus on ethics in line with company policy.
• Assembly of mechanical components in hence with procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certified mechanic or equal level obtained by work experience and training.
• Crane certificate is required (G4)
• Forklift T1-T4 is an advantage.

• Pressure testing course certification is an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of rotating machinery (assembly and testing).
