Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking a certified mechanic to join our team in Bergen to assemble and test VX meters and AW components, and to support the development of test equipment. You will ensure proper procedure sign-off, while maintaining a strong focus on HSE, quality, and ethics, especially for high-pressure systems and rotating machinery.

Ideal candidates have crane, torque tools, and sealing systems experience, with teamwork and clear communication being essential to success.

Qualifications

• Certified mechanic with relevant training/experience required.
• Crane and safety certifications highly valued.
• Experience with rotating machinery and high-pressure systems.
• Familiarity with torque tools and sealing systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test Vx Meters and AW components.
• Develop and test related equipment and procedures.
• Ensure procedures are properly signed off and compliant.
• Participate in HARC and toolbox talks as required.
• Maintain a strong focus on HSE and quality.

Purpose/ Scope Of Posistion (role)

The position's main scope is to execute assembly and testing of VX meters, AW, and mechanical components, as well as support the development of test equipment. In addition, the role covers reporting, procedure compliance with proper sign-off, and maintaining a strong focus on HSE, quality, and ethics throughout all assembly and testing activities, particularly related to high-pressure systems and rotating machinery.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assembly and test of Vx Meters and AW.
• Assembly and technical developments of test equipment.
• Reporting and procedure follow up, make sure that each step in procedures are signed accordingly.
• Participate in HARC and toolbox activity as required.
• Maintain a clear focus on HSE throughout tests and assembly, in particular high-pressure systems, and rotating machinery.
• Establish and maintain a high focus on HSE and Quality in line with company policy in all areas of operation.
• Establish and maintain a high focus on ethics in line with company policy.
• Assembly of mechanical components in hence with procedures.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Certified mechanic or equal level obtained by work experience and training.

Job Knowledge, Competencies, Skills And Abilities

• Crane certificate is required.
• Forklift / Cherry picker / OLF certified or documented training is an advantage.
• Flange course certification is an advantage.
• Pressure testing course certification is an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of rotating machinery (assembly and testing).
• Experience and knowledge of swivel systems (assembly and testing).
• Experience and knowledge of pressure and leak testing.
• Experience and knowledge in the use of high torque tools.
• Knowledge of static and rotating sealing systems.
• Practical and solution-oriented with good communication skills.
• Accurate, detail-oriented, and engaged.
• Strong teamwork skills.
