Job summary

Horizon Financial Services in Svalbard is seeking a skilled Mason to join our team. You will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using brick, stone and concrete, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of masonry experience, proficiency with brick, stone and concrete materials, and the ability to follow building codes. English communication is required; Norwegian a plus. Accommodation is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Mason experience.
• Experience with brick, stone and concrete materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow building codes.
• English communication required; Norwegian a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Constructing or repairing walls, floors, chimneys, patios, sidewalks, and other structures.
• Laying bricks or stones as per blueprints.
• Mixing mortar and applying it between bricks or stones.
• Cutting bricks or stones to fit around obstacles.
• Following building codes and safety regulations; communicating with team.
