Avanta Works in Svalbard is hiring an entry-level mason to assist in constructing and maintaining buildings, walls and monuments. You will mix and apply mortar and cut bricks or stones, using tools to ensure level surfaces.
No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The role offers visa sponsorship and a path for growth within the company in a remote Arctic location.
As an entry-level mason in Svalbard you will play a vital role in constructing and maintaining various structures such as buildings walls and monuments. Your primary responsibilities will include mixing and applying mortar cutting and shaping bricks or stones and using specialized tools to ensure precise measurements and level surfaces.
You will also be responsible for repairing existing structures as well as cleaning and organizing work areas.
To excel in this role you should have a strong work ethic attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team. Prior experience is not required but would be beneficial. We are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate who is eager to learn.
Additionally we offer visa sponsorship for non-native workers.
