NACOS Marine is seeking an experienced Communications Protocols Developer to join our R&D team. You will design, implement, and validate the communication infrastructure that connects embedded controllers and operator systems across safety‑critical networks.

You will work on secure, high‑performance solutions, develop protocol stacks (UDP, TCP/IP, OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT), and collaborate with international teams to advance marine automation technology.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing and debugging communication protocol stacks.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ on embedded platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain communication architectures for embedded and real-time systems.
• Implement protocol stacks including UDP, Multicast, TCP/IP, OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT.
• Develop transport, session, and application layer functionality with state machines and parsing.
• Define secure OT network architectures per maritime cybersecurity standards.
• Evaluate COTS products for integration into NACOS Marine portfolios.
• Define protocol specifications, diagrams, and interface documentation.
• Optimize performance for timing, latency, and throughput in real-time operations.
• Develop and maintain unit/integration tests and automated test environments.
• Debug interfaces using protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, and trace tools.
• Produce technical documentation across the SDLC and collaborate with software, hardware, QA, and systems teams.
