NACOS Marine is seeking an experienced Backend Developer (m/f/d) to join our R&D team, building the next generation of marine automation systems. You will design and implement safety-critical backend software for embedded controllers, sensor interfaces, and communication protocols powering vessels worldwide.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (Software Engineering, CS or Electrical Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years of embedded software development experience in C/C++.
• Experience implementing communication protocol stacks (UART, SPI, I2C, Profinet, TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT).
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures, DMA, interrupts and low-level drivers.
• Experience with embedded cybersecurity concepts like secure boot and encrypted comms.
• Fluent in English, strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop embedded backend software in C/C++ for microcontrollers with real-time requirements.
• Design and maintain protocol stacks and transport/session/application layers.
• Optimize performance, timing, latency, and resource use for maritime systems.
• Interface firmware with hardware, drivers, and peripherals.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, QA and systems engineering teams.
