Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group is seeking an experienced M&E Operations Manager to own the planning and delivery of our Meetings & Events business. You will lead day-to-day operations, translate client requirements into operational plans, and coach a dedicated M&E team to ensure superb event experiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate client requirements into clear operational plans.
• Lead, coach and develop the M&E operational team.
• Plan schedules, staffing and use of labour.
• Act as main operational contact for event organisers during events.
• Ensure rooms and spaces are set and maintained to high standards.
• Lead operational briefings and ensure teams are prepared.
• Manage guest feedback, complaints and service recovery.
• Maintain and improve M&E SOPs and standards.
• Manage labour productivity, agency costs, food & beverage costs, equipment rental and other expenses.
• Collaborate with M&E Sales, Kitchen, AV/Technical, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Security and wider F&B Leadership Team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the event experience.

Job Description

As M&E Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the operational planning and delivery of our Meetings & Events business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day M&E operation and ensuring successful delivery of meetings, conferences, banquets and events.
• Translating function sheets and client requirements into clear operational plans.
• Leading, coaching and developing the M&E operational team.
• Planning schedules, staffing and effective use of permanent and leased labour.
• Acting as the main operational contact for event organisers while events are taking place.
• Ensuring meeting rooms and event spaces are set, presented and maintained to a consistently high standard.
• Leading operational briefings and ensuring teams are fully prepared before every event.
• Managing guest and client feedback, complaints and service recovery.
• Maintaining and continuously improving M&E SOPs and operational standards.
• Managing labour productivity, agency costs, food & beverage costs, equipment rental and other operational expenses.
• Ensuring equipment, storage areas and operational resources are effectively managed.
• Working closely with M&E Sales, Kitchen, AV/Technical, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Security and the wider F&B Leadership Team.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and the overall event experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we believe that you:

• Have strong experience within conference & banqueting from a large hotel.
• Is fluent in English, additionally a Nordic language is preferred
• Have previous leadership experience within a busy hospitality environment.
• Are highly organised and comfortable managing several events and priorities simultaneously.
• Have strong experience with staffing, scheduling and operational planning.
• Understand labour productivity and operational cost control.
• Are confident communicating directly with clients and event organisers.
• Have high standards and excellent attention to detail.
• Are a visible, hands-on and supportive leader.
• Remain calm, solution-oriented and decisive under pressure.
• Enjoy working collaboratively across multiple hotel departments.
• Are flexible and understand that Meetings & Events requires availability according to the business, including evenings and weekends when required.
