Job summary

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
  • Strong digital skills and quick learner of new systems.
  • Flexible with rotating day/evening/weekend shifts.
  • Experience in hotels, travel, customer service or sales preferred.

  • Answering guest inquiries by phone and digital channels.
  • Handling reservations and cashier responsibilities.
  • Following up VIP guests and special requests.

Be the face of one of Norway’s most iconic hotels

As a Receptionist, you create the first and last impression of the hotel. You will welcome guests from around the world, solve a wide variety of requests and help make every guest feel seen, valued and at home.

Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of Oslo and is one of Norway’s largest and most recognised hotels. With 694 rooms, a fast-paced operation and an international atmosphere.

You will join a passionate Front Office team that works closely together to deliver professional, personal and efficient service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, takes initiative and thrives in a busy environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming guests warmly and delivering smooth, efficient check-in and check-out experiences.
  • Being visible, proactive and approachable in the reception and lobby, as well as assisting guests by phone and through digital channels.
  • Handling reservations, payments, cashier responsibilities
  • Following up VIP guests, special requests
  • Promoting hotel facilities, Radisson Rewards and relevant offers in a natural and guest-focused way.
  • Contributing to upselling, guest satisfaction and the commercial goals of the department.
  • Working closely with Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Reservations and other departments to create a seamless guest journey.
  • Following shift checklists and ensuring that the reception and lobby areas are welcoming, organised and ready for our guests.
Qualifications

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a genuine passion for people and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Are positive, professional and solution-oriented, even when the pace is high.
  • Take ownership, notice what needs to be done and follow through.
  • Communicate in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Have strong digital skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Are flexible and comfortable working a rotating schedule, including daytime, evening and weekend shifts.
  • Have previous experience from hotels, travel, customer service or sales; however, your personality and motivation are just as important.
