Job summary

DEPT® in London is seeking a Lead Motion Designer to set motion art direction and oversee from concept to final delivery. You will collaborate with designers and creatives to develop motion systems and style frames.

The role requires a strong portfolio, expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to mentor junior designers while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Motion Designer or similar role.
• Outstanding showreel and/or portfolio.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in video editing and an interest in sound design.
• Strong graphic design principles and a feel for art direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead motion design on projects across a range of brands, translating concepts into animated content.
• Own the motion design process end-to-end: concepting, storyboarding, animatics, execution, final delivery.
• Work across both motion and static, supporting graphic design needs alongside motion craft.
• Collaborate with designers and creatives to develop motion systems and treatments aligned with brand guidelines.
• Provide creative and technical guidance to junior and mid-level motion designers.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
• Stay curious about new tools, techniques, and formats, including AI-assisted workflows.
