Job summary

COWI is seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead for data centres, to guide mechanical design from early planning through detailed design and implementation. You will lead the mechanical discipline, develop cooling and HVAC strategies, and ensure robust, sustainable solutions in collaboration with architects, engineers and clients.

The role emphasizes leadership in hyperscale and enterprise environments, with opportunities to advance data centre expertise across Scandinavia and beyond.

Qualifications

• Educational background in engineering.
• Proven experience delivering data centre projects.
• Experience leading technical design in multidisciplinary environments.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and advisory services for data centre facilities.
• Act as the discipline lead, ensuring technical quality and coordination throughout projects.
• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for hyperscale and enterprise data centers.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Support projects through concept development, detailed design, tendering and construction phases.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and efficient technical solutions.
