Job summary

CITY OF BRADY is hiring for Solid Waste Landfill Maintenance (Full-Time). This position directs customers to tipping locations, inspects loads for non-acceptables, and rejects unsuitable items.

The role also maintains landfill facilities and equipment, runs the scale house when required, and supports the refuse truck crew as needed. Physical demands are high: lifting up to 100 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds, and working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Directs customers to proper tipping locations
• Inspects loads for items that can’t be accepted and rejects them
• Operates landfill equipment and runs scale house when necessary
• Performs maintenance of landfill, dumpsters, and poly cart trash cans
• Assists on the back of the refuse truck when needed
• Lifts up to 100 pounds, pulls/pushes up to 150 pounds; works outdoors in extreme temperatures
