Job summary

Lee County Government’s General Services department is seeking a temporary/part-time litter control/spotter to remove litter and debris from roadways and county properties, and to assist with snow removal as needed.

Responsibilities include driving to collect trash, disposing of collected waste, performing safety checks, and maintaining equipment, while following all county and OSHA safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license for North Carolina.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Remove litter and debris from roadways and right-of-ways.
• Pick up trash from county properties and assigned routes.
• Remove snow and ice when necessary.
• Perform safety checks prior to operating equipment.
• Follow county and OSHA safety procedures.
• Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills.
