Job summary

City of Brady is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the city’s financial operations under the City Manager. You will direct accounting, budgeting, debt and cash management, purchasing administration, and utility billing oversight while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and debt management.
• Familiarity with GASB standards and public funds investments.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and purchasing.
• Manages debt, cash flow, bank relations, and investments.
• Develops and enforces annual operating and capital budgets.
• Prepares monthly/annual financial statements and reports.
• Presents financial reports to City Council at public meetings.
