Job summary

DOF is seeking a motivated Project Surveyor to join our Survey & Inspection Department in Bergen. You will work with project managers to ensure efficient survey operations and fit-for-purpose technical solutions, from tendering through mobilisation to offshore execution and final delivery.

You will own the survey scope on projects spanning decommissioning, renewables, and geophysical operations, collaborating with clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Hydrographic Surveying, Geoscience, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in offshore survey operations.
• Strong digital and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Project management experience is an advantage.

Join us as our new Project Surveyor

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Project Surveyor to join our Survey & Inspection Department. You will become part of a dynamic and international team of experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic professionals.

Working closely with Project Managers, you will represent the Survey & Inspection Department throughout all project phases. You will help ensure efficient survey operations, fit-for-purpose technical solutions, and the highest professional standards in equipment selection and survey methodologies.

As a Project Surveyor, you will take ownership of the survey scope on projects within decommissioning, renewables, and geophysical operations. From tendering and mobilisation to offshore execution and final delivery, you will play a key role in achieving successful project outcomes. The role offers varied responsibilities and close collaboration with project teams, clients, and department leadership. To succeed in this role, you are proactive, self-motivated, and driven to deliver results.

Tasks

Support projects from tendering and mobilisation through offshore execution and final delivery.

Develop survey procedures and project documentation.

Plan and coordinate survey activities with Project Managers and department leadership.

Ensure appropriate survey methodologies, equipment selection, and resource planning.

Deliver survey solutions to the highest professional standards.

Requirements

Degree in Hydrographic Surveying, Geoscience, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications.

Experience in offshore survey operations.

Project management experience is an advantage.

Strong digital and technical documentation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
