Job summary

Easee is seeking a Software Engineer to build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices powering their platform. You will work with senior engineers on backend architecture, taking ownership of real services in a collaborative environment.

Based in Stavanger or Oslo, you will join API, Frontend, Platform, and Product Support teams to ensure reliability, scale, and high-quality delivery, with a clear path toward Senior Software Engineer as you grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of professional backend development experience in a production environment.
• Proven experience building, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs or microservices.

Job description

This position can be based in either Stavanger or Oslo, Norway.

As our Software Engineer, you'll help build, test, and maintain the RESTful APIs and microservices that power Easee's platform. You'll write clean, well-tested code while working closely with senior engineers on backend architecture. This is a role designed for someone with solid backend foundations who is ready to take ownership of real services in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Working alongside the API team, Frontend Engineers, the Platform team, and Product Support, you will help make sure our services are reliable, well-tested, and built to scale.

Core Outcomes

Short-term

• You have completed onboarding, set up your local development environment, and have a clear understanding of our core API codebases.

• You have shipped early bug fixes and feature enhancements to production, building familiarity with our system architecture and review practices.

• You have integrated smoothly into the API team's daily workflows, code review practices, and sprint cadence.

Long-term

• You have full autonomy in designing and deploying end-to-end API features.

• You have a deep understanding of our core system architecture and data flows.

• You actively contribute ideas that improve our test and development workflows.

What you need to bring along

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.

• Relevant hands-on experience can compensate for formal education.

• 2--4 years of professional backend development experience in a production environment.

• Proven experience building, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs or microservices.

• Core programming skills in at least one backend language (e.g.,. Net and C# (what we use), Java, or Go).

• A solid understanding of REST principles, HTTP, and relational or NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Git, Docker, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
