Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for high-profile hyperscale data centres in Norway. You will oversee mechanical construction from installation through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, programme, and quality.

The role offers a permanent Norwegian placement with potential relocation, a competitive £75,000 salary and a comprehensive benefits package, plus an initial rotational arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Construction Manager on hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects.
• Experience managing mechanical construction packages on large-scale projects.
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing all mechanical construction activities from installation through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinating mechanical contractors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers throughout the construction phase.
• Managing the installation of HVAC, cooling systems, chilled water systems and associated infrastructure.
• Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals and installation methodologies.
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring delivery against programme milestones.
• Managing inspections, testing, balancing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Ensuring all mechanical installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
