Job summary

Engine by Starling is hiring a Technical Programme Manager to lead critical, strategic programmes in a multi-client tech environment. You will coordinate engineering, product, and Delivery partners to ensure end-to-end delivery of complex projects, reporting progress and risks to senior leadership.

The role requires hands-on programme management experience in financial services or technology, with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid London setting.

Qualifications

• End-to-end project or programme management experience, ideally within technology or financial services.
• Experience working directly with engineering and product teams to deliver complex technical solutions in a SaaS environment.
• Hands-on and adaptable approach to programme delivery in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving to navigate ambiguity.
• Experience with cards projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a technical programme, coordinating multiple complex, inter-dependent projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering Leads to support SDLC and plan with cross-team coordination.
• Balance client needs with internal capacity, identify risks, and maintain realistic delivery timelines.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and payment schemes, ensuring service quality.
• Provide reporting and metrics on progress and adherence to plans.
• Continuously monitor and improve processes across the programme.
