Story Terrace Inc. in London is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build and scale the next generation of our data and AI platform. You will work with large property datasets, automate pipelines, and strengthen platform foundations to empower data scientists and engineers.

The role is hands-on across code, pipelines and cloud, with collaboration across data, software and product teams to deliver high-performance, production-grade systems in a fast-moving PropTech environment.

Qualifications

• Production-grade data pipelines and platforms with strong data modelling.
• Experience building scalable data services and AI/ML workflows.
• Proficient in cloud environments, IaC, CI/CD and containers.

Responsibilities

• Build high‑performance data and AI platforms behind our property services.
• Work hands‑on across codebase, pipelines, databases and cloud infra to improve performance.
• Assess systems against requirements and plan practical changes.
• Modernise legacy components incrementally without disrupting production.
• Improve data ingestion and serving across varied feeds.
• Define canonical data models and data contracts for properties and agents.
• Make asset data, including images and floorplans, usable by products and AI workloads.
• Embed automated testing, deployment, observability and rollback.
• Create reusable components and patterns for engineers to reuse.
• Share knowledge through documentation and code reviews.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product leaders to deliver value.
